From weather-beaten and silvered to a stunning golden finish. 🪵✨
This solid oak door was looking a bit worse for wear. First I sanded back to bare timber, treated to lift the weathering then fully sealed to make sure the sun doesn’t ruin it again anytime soon.

This back door needed some proper TLC! Filled with epoxy resin and wood filler. Complete with new marine grade 316 stainless steel door handles. Finished with Benjamin Moore Aura Exterior paint in a satin finish tinted to Farrow & Ball’s ‘Blackened’.

Sash windows! The old, brittle oil based coatings were completely flaking and blistering. Fully prepared then primed with Insl-X Max Block to stop any tannin bleed through and finished with Benjamin Moore Aura Exterior in a White Satin finish which provides flexible, high-durability protection designed to move with the timber so it won’t crack or peel under weather pressure. 👌🎨

Dave has just decorated our seaside cottage. Throughout the whole process he has demonstrated true professional qualities. He is meticulous about the preparation and process and cannot be faulted in the manner that he works or in the quality of his painting. We met some unexpected challenges during the work being done,not least the weather, but Dave negotiated these all. The previous decoration had been made inappropriate for a limed wall and only became apparent during preparation needing a change of tack. Dave was able to demonstrate his knowledge and experience of how best to deal with this problem. Dave was also fully able to interpret our ideas of colour matching very well and also quite capable of mixing paint to get a better match. We have been delighted with the end result and thank Dave for going the extra mile to complete the job on schedule- it took a little longer than originally and expected but well worth the extra effort and time that Dave puts into his work. Highly recommended. Very appreciated
